  • The Rasmus: the new song sounds like Eurovision songs [Finland]

    The first taste of The Rasmus’s upcoming album will be heard at the UMK song contest finals in Finland on February 25th, as The Rasmus will be a guest performer with their new upcoming single “I’m a Mess”.
    The purpose of the contest is to find a representative for Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC), a major competition that will be held in Azerbaijan in May 2012. The Rasmus is not competing.

  • A super surprise from The Rasmus musician! [Finland]

    According to the vocalist Lauri Ylönen of The Rasmus, the band’s bassist Eero Heinonen has started directing movies. After Eero had completed his part in the recordings of the band’s upcoming new album, he travelled to India for three months to film his first movie.

    Lauri also told, that the new album is soon finished, and he has received the first versions of the completed songs. The Rasmus is targeting the release date for the Spring 2012. …read more »

  • A new album from The Rasmus – Lauri’s solo-career going on hiatus [Finland]

    The Rasmus is currently recording new studio-album in Stockholm, the band travelled on a ferry to Sweden.

    “In a way it was a return to our roots, as well as this whole studio session. We came to Sweden just like in the year 2000, and the team is the same, the producer is Martin Hansen”, tells the vocalist Lauri Ylönen for Radio YleX.
