Finland is not known for its pop heroes-until now. Helsinki foursome The Rasmus have an unnervingly poppy take on gothic heavy rock and this has already been number one in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Finland. Look out for the eccentric, but rather brilliant, “through the looking glass” video starring a downtrodden maid in a Victorian silent movie. It’s 80′s-style stadium rock, loaded on an infectious beat, then battered with stage-school dramatics, devilish guitar riffs and wild shreiking choruses. Evanescence might have to watch their backs.
