The Rasmus Live 2012 / Volume II
39 gigs, 16 countries, thousands of kilometres, endless hours queueing, 112 minutes of pure The Rasmus on tour.
Don't miss out the new DVD, it's a limited edition!
Today on many online Finnish newspapers has been published a pretty surprising new: Lauri will release a solo album.
The album, still with no title, will be released in March 2011 obviously under the Dynasty Recordings label, and the first single, called “Heavy”, will be released in February of the next year.
The new solo material will have its own world premiere at the Emma Gaala, the most important cerimony awards of the Finnish music scene, that will be held in Espoo the 26th of February.
Even if this is a nice new, it’s heartily hoped however that this new won’t affect in any bad way to the release of The Rasmus’ new album, scheduled for spring 2011 too.
Here’s the full translation of the articles, many thanks to Sharazan for it:
Lauri Ylönen of The Rasmus will release a solo album in March 2011. The album doesn’t have a name yet, but the first single, Heavy, will be out in February.
“I wanted to try with ideas that have been impossible to carry out with The Rasmus. These songs that were unfitting for the band, I didn’t want to bury them into the demo-folders, so I decided to release them on a solo-album. It has been awesome to make music spontaneously and without any discipline”, Lauri tells in the press release. The album will be released by his record company, Dynasty.
The world premiere of Lauri’s solo-material will take place in the Finnish Emma-gala on the 26th of February 2011 in Espoo, Finland.
Emma-gala is the annual award ceremony for Finnish artists and bands.
