Dynasty clothes collection [Finland]

Dynasty-studio and record brand was originally founded one and a half years ago by the people working around bands like The Rasmus, Kwan and Killer. Now Dynasty is also a clothing brand.
The idea to launch an own collection happened almost by an accident.

- We were just making shirts for ourselves and some other bands, when people started to ask where to get them, says Pauli Rantasalmi, who plays the guitar in The Rasmus.
At the same time some surprising new sides of Lauri Ylönen, the vocalist, are being revealed.

- Since I was a child I have been making my own clothes. It is one of my hobbies. The latest piece was a Batman-cloak, with nice flames on the inside. I just basically wanted one, he reveals. The vocalist says that he has made himself several performance clothes.
Today in Stockmann of Helsinki released collection is just the beginning of it. The actual bigger launch will be seen this autumn. The first strike focuses on basic shirts and sweatshirts. Anyhow, also a collection of female underwear is being included in this launch.

- The collection that is being launched in autumn will have a totally different cut and a new design. But we are not actually professionals in this field. Luckily we have been able to find a good team with the right know-how, Lauri says.

- We see ourselves more as inventors and fanatics. Not every shirt is being self-made, Ylönen continues with an expression.
