Face to face [Mexico]

For nothing they consider themselves as excentric but at the time to experiment are really dare!
Let them tell you…

Imagine our excitement when we came to interview at The Rasmus!
And the guys are so cool and kind, that we couldn’t resist the temptation to say to them hello with a kiss and to ask them everything!
Pauli: I want a kiss from the Mexican señorita.

Porti: Guys, welcome. How do you feel in this third visit to our country?
Lauri: We love Mexico, and this time we could learn a little bit more of it. We dig in knowing the music, the culture and the food. Are fascinating!

Porti: So you hate the typical food…
Aki: Of course, and how we enjoyed it, haha! We were taken to eat crickets and tacos from every thing. We like Mexican food!

Porti: How interesting… and did you eat the jumiles? They are like some little bugs that are eaten in the tacos. The original part is that they have to be eaten live…
Eero: Noooo, for nothing at all! I don’t know if I can dare to taste them. (The other three guys deny the offer).

Porti: What’s the most weird thing you have eaten?
Pauli: One time in Asia we taste snake poison. They serve it in three little cups with the same size: one had the poison, other spit and the third one blood, because if you only taste the poison you just die. The spit and the blood neutralizes the effect, so you have to alternate the shots from the three cups. It was unreal!

Porti: We believe you! Do you consider yourselves excentric just because you do things like these?
Aki: Oh no! But we like to know a little bit of everything, that why we have to dare ourselves.

Porti: When you are backstage or in a hotel, do you request something not very common?
Lauri: We like to have typical food from every country. Here we had candies, fries and tequila, that can’t fail!

Porti: You travel a lot, do you miss Finland?
Eero: All the time. We like the sights from there; so much, that we wouldn’t like to live in another place.

Porti: But it’s good that you come off to visit us and to delight to your fans. Do you have any message for them?
Pauli: That we love them and we thank their support and the gifts they always gave us. They are the best!

Just a quick note:
The jumiles are the little worms that are from the maguey, from the maguey you get the mezcal, an alcoholic drink. Maybe Eero forgot it, but they already ate these when they came for the first time to Mexico and visited the Teotihuacán pyramids in the house of their host, El Gorila.
