The Rasmus prepares surprise to their fans [Mexico]

They reedit their last CD “Hide from the Sun” and add live songs that they performed in the Auditorio Nacional

What a gift prepares The Rasmus to their Mexican fans! The guitarrist from this Finnish dark rock band Pauli Rantasalmi, said to El Universal that not only they will reedit their last album “Hide From The Sun”, also that they will include some live songs that they performed in what was their presentation the past April 6th in the Auditorio Nacional, in Mexico.
“In that time”, remembers Pauli, “the welcome of the Mexican audience was extraordinaire, so without any doubt we decided to include the songs “Keep your Heart Broken”, “Heart of Misery”, “Sail Away”, “No Fear” and “In the Shadows”, from their past album “Dead Letters”, which made the place vibrate.
“We love Mexico, we love it as the same we love their women and tequila. We like a lot the Mexican food, as the same as the Teotihuacàn pyramids, that we visited before. Deciding the include of this songs was not something difficult; we did it because we know that we have many fans over there and because we are grateful with the welcoming that they had to our music”.
“And now we are more happier because we are returning to Mexico. Everybody in here is excited; we want to reach that day to give you a concert full of surprises. I’m not going to tell you what are this surprises, just that it’s special for you”, manifest Pauli, in a side of Lauri Ylönen (vocalist), Eero Heinonen (bassist) and Aki Hakala (drums) that will be performing in the Salon 21 on October 8 and 9. Two days after will be playing in the Arena V. F. G., in Jalisco and the next day in the Auditorio Coca Cola in Monterrey.
Pauli didn’t knew when will be released on sale the reedition of the album that saw the light for the first time on September of 2005. “We don’t know yet. I think in some days you can check this with the label to have and exact date. I hope that when it’s on sale, it going well in Mexico”, indicated by telephone from Finland.
He commented that the tour includes South American countries like Brazil, Argentina and Chile. “Va a estar muy chido” said in spanish. I like to talk a lot in spanish because I have many friends from Colombia and in other countries”, indicate.

But, when are you going to tour in Europe or Asia?
“I think will make it when we have the next album with new songs. That’s the main idea, travelling with that album at the end of the year”.

When it would be done?
“We don’t have an specific date. First of all we want to sit to record it and then determinate the tour, which could be at the end of 2007 or beginnings from 2008″.
