The Rasmus – Our secret? Meditation! [Czech Republic]

Bravo: Our last album “Hide from the sun” was released one year ago. What’s with the new album?
The Rasmus: We work on it, it’s sure. But we are touring now, we have confirm new dates of concert in USA, where whole September we will play with Lostprophets. Then we will need a bit relax. So the new album will be released sometimes in the next year. Earlier we don’t overtake it.

Bravo: And will you play some new stuff for the czech fans here, during the festival gig?
The Rasmus: No. Any new stuff isn’t in so fort that we would present publicly . Now we have a lot of songs for playing from older albums. We hope that the people here, on Love Planet, will like it like the people that was on our concert last year on autumm in one of prague’s club. His name we already forgot, sorry.

Bravo: It was in Roxy, the club in the center of Prague. It was totally sold out. The people like us here…
The Rasmus: We feel it and it enjoy us. We like the playing here for it and in the future we will play here. And you have beatiful girls here.

Bravo: Finland supply new bands on the rock scene- after Waltari, Apocalyptica, HIM, our band, now there are Lordi here. What is hide from the popularity and success finnish rock music?
The Rasmus: Raw country-raw music. The good rock and metal was alway played in Finland and it isn’t just these bands. The same is in all world, look f.e. on Linkin Park. We don’t want to assert that the best rock and metal is played in Finland. It found just the fans in other places in Europe and world.

Bravo: The czech fans take interest in your private life, too. Say, what was the most romantic SMS that we got?
The Rasmus: By fans nothing, fortunately nobody didn’t say our telephone number. By fans we got mostly the e-mails and letters. Classical letter is very romantic in this time, isn’t it? But by long separation, when we are on the tour, we get the romantic SMS by our nearest people, of course.

Bravo: What do you like except music? What’s your hobbies? How do you relax?
The Rasmus: Every morning we meditation for 20 minutes. Joga give you more than when you annoy your body in fitness. And then the meeting our friends who we couldn’t see for a long time.

Bravo: What do you tell czech fans?
The Rasmus: Awoid the reality. Don’t let’s take away your world of fantasy. It is very important for life.
