Eero from The Rasmus founds his own band [Finland]

Eero a bass-player who volunteraly got trapped between family and two bands.
“Now life has suitable minute and mega ..”

So, you went on and started another group besides The Rasmus. How on earth do you find time to do all the duties between the two bands and your own family?
“You just have to schedule between all pieces. There is always time, if you want it enough. Our drummer Hannu commented the situation quite will: “A relationship is almost as important as this band…”

What are the things you get to do in your new Hay & Stone – band, what you could not do with The Rasmus?
“I can play mouth Organ and lapsteel (= an hawaian guitar), shout out loud blues-waves and make the guitarist to play a long psychedelic solo, when you feel like it. We can also make a video with minimum-group with minimum budget.”

Is it the smalleness in your new project that fascinates you or are you hoping a massive success to this band, also?
“I hope that Hay & Stone grows with its own speed to a size it matches. Smallness and protecting it has it good sides, although I enjoy greatly the popularity of The Rasmus.”

If Hay & Stone was a person, what kind would they be?
“He would be a young man, who would stroll around the streets, humming to songs in his loaned, out-dated jacket saying hellos to all the people he knows. The guy might also drop by in a park to play football with his friends, only for the fun of it.”

Among you with The Rasmus, you have a competition who has visited most countries. Who is on the lead?
“True, it is our groups own competition and I think it is Aki or Pauli on the lead with approxematly 55 countries. I for one have one playfull goal in my mind to visit 100 countries. At this pace, I think I am going to make it.”

What do you remember most of all your travels?
“In some places you remember the people, they have something unique about them. Mostly you remember the cities and their different energies. It can be people’s goals, dreams and hang-ups. Different things are strong in different places. The strength of us Finns are our honesty, even though we might be a bit reserved in our expression.”
“While travelling it has been exiting to notice how so different places fit under the same topic. For example, the lifestyle of the Japanese and the Americans is totally different to Europeans, although we are all basically western consumption-societies.”

With your new bands record you also sing of fatherhood. You have two children. What kind of father would you like to be?
“As a father for me it is important that my children behave well. You have to ask “May I be excused?” if you want to leave the table. At the moment the hardest part in being a father is that you have to stay away from home for so long. I care a lot of my kids and I wish that they can grow as long as they can without seeing or experiencing the darker sides of the world.”
