After finalizing their tour by Latin America, that includes countries like Mexico, Chile and Costa Rica, and other pending dates in Europe, the Finnish group The Rasmus will return to their hometown Helsinki to begin with the preproduction of his seventh album of study, programmed for next October.
In telephone interview, from the Finnish capital, the bassist Eero Heinonen informed that the band already began to write the songs that will integrate the new album, same that is anticipated to be released at the beginning of 2007.
Heinonen considered that the group, also conformed by Lauri Ylönen (voice and keyboard), Pauli Rantasalmi (guitars) and Aki (drums), will have a difficult task, because after to have recorded the album Hide From The Sun that, on April 4th, will present live, in the Auditorio Nacional, their sonorous work will have to be more elaborated for this new project.
“Dead Letters is a very dark, melancholic and dreamier album than the previous ones, but this one (Hide from the sun) counts more on elaborated guitars, is richer; in addition I believe that the lyrics and the voice of Lauri are more mature in this new album, for that reason the challenge of a new album is superior”, commented.
Another one of the next projects that The Rasmus has contemplated for this same year is the opening of a documentary one for their Finnish fans, and still it’s not known if this audio-visual material could next be published for the rest of its followers.
In relation to their next presentation in the Mexican capital city, for the second time in their artistic career and had achieved success the last year when the quartet jammed the Salon 21, The Rasmus also will face the challenge to act in the Auditorio Nacional, in front of 10 thousand people.
“We know ourselves lucky of being able to present us in that forum (in the Auditorio Nacional), and are conscious that the place deserves a special performance; it will be a great night for us and fans”, advanced Eero Heinonen.
The bassist also remembered that in his last visit to our country, he and his mates could visit pyramids of Teotihuacán.
“It’s is one of the most impressive places than I have seen; it was very mystical, wonderful.”

They record video for the song “Shot”
After which in the first days of last February, The Rasmus traveled to Fuerteventura (Spain) to record the video for the song “Shot”, but due to bad weather it had to stop in their task, the quartet managed to fulfill its mission days ago.
“Yes, there had some problems by the inclemency of the time, were much rain, even it became a storm, thus when we saw us disabled we had to leave the shooting, and thought that was a good idea to retake the recording of the video after finished the tour.
“In the end, we returned to formulate a second plan for the recording of “Shot”, and we were so amused. When concluded the shooting we gave a stroll by that mountainous zone “, added Eero Heinonen.
The video of “Shot” will be begun to transmit in the next days in the main video networks from the world.
