Rasmus has grown up [Finland]

Band’s bass player Eero Heinonen has came husband and father of two children.
The water has flown several times in the Gulf of Finland, when Rasmus released their first album. Year 1996 their songs told about how sad is when you are not allowed to go the bars. In a 11 years band has become The Rasmus. Drummer has changed to Aki. Their is religion in Germany which is called laurism.
In the shadows of the success story band’s basist Eero Heinonen has became husband and a father of two children. He described the family and touring life very touchingly in a Rasmus- document which was released yesterday, which first release he was watching with his family.
- It’s hard to go on tour and leave family behind and children are crying after me. Sometimes you feel yourself old even that you know you’re young, says basist.
There isn’t much time for closer ones. Over a week ago band return from Japan and their next performance will be in South Africa this Saturday.
- I’m thinking that I’m going to logging site again. Father gets living and returns back to his family. Of course sometimes I feel a bit tired, when it’s time to go.
The most successful Finnish band has also seen the the lowest point. After third album, just before millenium, boys had to visit the social services desk to get their living, until a phone call from Sweden surprised them. Lars Trengroth wanted the boys in to studio. Rest is history of finnish export rock.
- We were sixteen, when we got recording contract. It was best to get girls head turn in to us. We got to the festivals, where we had never been before. There were booze and girls. We had to experience that pool stage.
Still the boys believe that this is different kind of life school. It’s impossible to imagine what they would be without what’s happened.
- In that stage, when the fun stops, we’ll stop doing this.

Lauri tells that the hits comes in his diaries. Pauli’s inspiration may surprise just few minutes before arms of a thousand people or even in a car.
- I was once huming a good song and I wondered who’s song it is. Then I realized that this is my own song. I had to keep huming it until I got the change to write it up. You wouldn’t survive the touring life without many years’ friendship.
- We are like family, friends with each other. That’s why we can’t respect REM where band members don’t even talk to each other. They have their own backstages. They come to throw a gig and gets lots of money about it. We would rather quit than carry on with a situation like that.
Fans are important, other attention is secondary.
- It’s indescribable feeling to get contact to the audience. You look them in the eyes and you see it in their eyes, this is it. That’s why we love the little clubgigs.
