When we talk about The Rasmus, a difficult question came up so hard to answer. What’s their genre? Sound like rock, have gótic influences and they become very melodic. Many people could think that is a band who had a huge hit and with “In The Shadows” they were raised up, when in fact they didn’t own the best thing under their arms. The truth is that they have six albums and at the age of 26 they achieved a respectable musical growing. With this album no one can deny that they preserve the pop potential who opened the doors to success, but is an agressive, powerful and darker album.
The Rasmus make honor to their roots, an Finland is present in every cold and dark detail without losing that accesibility that Lauri gives with his voice and scratchy tones, combining very catchy choruses and lyrics that, even they talk about hopelesness they become dinamic.
One step forward for this band, so even many people don’t like them, it would be best in people’s taste.
