Desert rock Dubai interview [UK]

Phride.com had the chance to talk to frontman Lauri before the show and get some questions.

Phride.com: So how do you like Dubai so far?
Lauri: Well, I haven’t seen much since we’ve arrived. But they took us to a Desert safari last night, it was a bit too commercial, but we got to see a few camels and the true desert, it was nice.

Phride.com: What are your expectations for tonight’s show?
Lauri: The crowd seems crazy! I’m a bit nervous to be honest! We hear there’s a big crowd and I wonder how they will react. It’s the first time we play in the Middle East.

Phride.com: So what do you think of Limp Bizkit canceling the show tonight?
Lauri: It sucks really! It would’ve been nice to play with them. In fact, I’ve met Fred Durst a couple of weeks ago in Germany, and I told him ‘Hey man, were going to be playing with you guys in Dubai next month’…all he said was ‘huuh?’. But I’m sure they had their reasons to cancel, hope everything is ok!

We also had the chance of meeting Lauri after the show and asked him some questions about the entire performance.

Phride.com: Well then, what do you think?
Lauri: Crazy crowd! Amazing show. Although the crowd didn’t know most of the songs (laughs)… I think they liked most of our recent stuff…Specially ‘In the Shadows’. We had a great time.

Phride.com: Would You guys consider coming back?
Lauri: There is talk about us coming back next November. We would love to comeback and play for Dubai again!.

Phride.com: Thanks man, thanks for your time! Great show overall!
Lauri: No Problem, Thanks guys! Ill be checking out the site!

Phride.com.com was also able to ask the bassist Eero a couple of questions.

Phride.com: What do you think of LB dropping out of Desert Rock at the last minute?
Eero: I can understand if they wanted to, I’m sure there was a reason for them to do it. The show would have been more interesting with them here though.

Phride.com: What did you think of the crowd and the show here in Dubai?
Eero: It was a great experience, good audience, and a welcoming crowd response. “In The Shadows” was definitely the hit of the night. We may come back in November after our tour; we will hopefully see all of you then.
