Thanks to the hit “In The Shadows”, it seems that you have achieved success and that you’ll be international stars.
Lauri: That’s right. We are pleased by the way things are going on. It’s been nearly 10 years that we have started. “Dead letters” is already our fifth album. We were not really desperate about being known outside of Scandinavia but the success of ITS is a good reward for all our efforts. …read more »

  • Interview about the video of “In My Life” [Sweden]

The choise wasn’t so hard. Do you want to record you video in a studio in Stockholm or Helsinki, or do you want to fly to Cuba, spend a week there, and record it in a real jungle?
    “Guess what we chose?”
The singer of The Rasmus, Lauri, don’t seem to regret their choise. Three days were filled with 18-hours recording-spells. But when it all was over, some lazy days were devoted to…

Let’s not sit by the window. They are hot places. People gaze at you, says black dressed Lauri Ylönen, 24 years. There is not much left of the 16-years old teen band idol, which celebrated his first gold album 8 years ago. • Interview with Lauri [Sweden]

What’s the best thing with being a star?
When you’re a rockstar you are free to do whatever you want and don’t need to listen to anyone else unless you want to.

    And the worst?
I’m a party animal and I am a bit too god at destrying myself. You drink too much too often, live only at night, and when you are on tour as much as we are it’s hard to keep friends because you meet them so seldom. …read more »
