“Into” review [Finland]

Finnish recor companys should learn from this album. Swedish Playground heard potential in Rasmus to challenge in big national pop market and after that just acted according to their senses logically. So “Into” is like a cornerstonefor finnish pop groups. At least in theory the product is current stuff, both the songs and the sound are in their right places. But, markets are unpredictable, so lets leave it that way.
Amon the ten songs in the album there are nine other potential singles to follow “F-F-F-Falling”. I would hope the next single to be “Heartbraker” which is straight from Desmond Childs/Max Martin world. Young Bon Jovis like 80′s rock is nice to listen, especially when the knobs aren’t pulled that direction too serious. From this song, as the whole album you can find also warmth and humour.
I also have to praise “Small Town”, which you can hear in a positive way Rasmus’ guys quite young age and enthusiasm. Also “Someone Else” is easy to imagine touching young girls with its lines: “She drinks the blood of a dinosaurs, to get her powers back, to make her boyfriend understand…”
But let’s remember, that this all is just pop music. If The Rasmus doesn’t conquer the world, should you take into consideration, that anyway they have made a pretty d*mn good pop album.
