So far Rasmus has connected two opposite aspect into one frustrating soup. On the other hand they have been having quicksilvery eager and freshness, but hen again their songs have been surprisingly insignificant. The third album changes the situation decidingly; allthough there is less goofing, there is still a lot of energy and most of all the song have got better. Sometimes the band falls down. “Dirty Moose” may work somehow, unless Lauri’s singing performance wouldn’t be so far of convincing as possible. The voice is so young and thin, interpretation is also not so good. One of the albums best songs “Man In The Steet” represents songs that Rasmus haven’t make before. In the song there is serenity, realization and pleasant mood. Excellent! Also “City Of The Dead” sounds extremely good. Single “Liquid” is basically good, but the influences are well heard. The first notes of the song reveal that theese guys have been listened Radiohead. There is also something through Oasis (the worlds most unnecessary band) adopted Beatles spirit, that feels a bit boring. The albums last song “Tempo” proves, that Rasmus can make also interesting retro kinda thing. The song takes you irressistably with and takes you through wide pantlegs and the bottom-of-the-bottle- glasses to the decades disco. “Tempo” is, along with “Man In The Street”, best what Rasmus has ever done. Along with “Hell Of A Tester” Rasmus is going to redeem it’s promises, whether it can improve from here, it will become a good band. At the moment it is delightful and pleasant hearing.
